Immersion 5

Term 3 week 9 Friday for the fifth session in immersion we did art. In the first season of art we learned about this NZ artist that I can't remember the name of. We looked at some of her artwork. I didn't really enjoy the first session but I kinda liked the next session. In the second session we did silhouettes. We had to do then around HPPS so no like lion's unless there at the zoo. It was fun and I liked it. The last session we just finished off the silhouettes. Art was fun but I will not be doing it for my creativity project. The part I found the best in art was the silhouettes. And my least favorite part was the part were we learnt about that artist and looked at her art. Her art was interesting but it was my least favorite part. 

Fourth Immersion

For the fourth season in Immersion I did Sign's. I missed the first two season's  because I was sick. But I was there and it was kinda fun. We had a look at art from an artist named Dick Frizzell. Then we had to do art like the artist. Dick Frizzell had an art called Tiki ti mickey. Me and Aidan did one like that is was Bird to Plane. My favorite part was drawing the Bird for bird to Plane. And my least favorite part was searching up Dick Frizzell work.

Bruce Mason center

On Tuesday week 9 term 3 we Went to the Bruce Mason center.First off we  went and watched a video and saw and performed a play. The play was fun and it had a smoke machine. I played a kid with a head flashlight. It was really fun. We also did this thing were we had these headphones on and we listened to this thing and had to act out what it said. It was also fun. And we watched another play. And then had lunch me and my friends had to go on the lc2 bus back to school. My favorite part was the play we acted out. And my least favorite part was the video at the start.

Immersion 2

The second Immersion I did was designing a new playground. My playground that I designing wasn't good but it was alright. I liked designing the playground but I am bad at drawing.  My favorite part was designing the playground. My least favorite part was the feedback part I couldn't think of any feedback.

Writing

I am writing a new story It is called The day Distanberg fell. It is about a charecter that live's in a kingdom (Distanberg) but the kingdom get's invaded and it's about his life being in no kingdom. I have been writing it for a week and it is 12 pages long.

Immersion

For Immersion LC7 and LC4 well did Immersion. We went into six groups with some lc7 and some lc4 kids. The first Immersion my group  did dance and drama we had to do freeze frames and watch dance videos. My favorite  part was when we did a soccer freeze frame my least favorite part was watching dance videos

Gym kids

We did Gym Kids on wedsday.  I was ok but still meh. I could do a few things there but other things I couldent do many things. the best part was the trampoline parts and the worst part was the cart wheels and hand stands.

Ikan

On Tuesday we did an Ikan. It's were you do maths and you get graded for doing it. I did one and I felt like I did pretty good but could do better. The best part was at the start when i new everything. The worst part when it got hard.

Project conclution

Me and Aart haved finished our projects. We haved filmed the video, editing and finishing off.  We thought we would  not finish the video or project. The editing was really fast and good we also got feedback from people. The feedback was helpful. In conclusion we are finished and I am happy what we finished with.

Projects fail

for our projects we were filming,writing script. Out experament was bend a bone with vinigar we found some rice vinigar and Aart brang in some chicken bones. we put the bone in a cup and poored the vinigar in. Two days later we checked on it the cup had flies around it and the chicken (that was in a lunch box next to it). Was rotten. We threw the chicken out we poored the vinigar and checked the bone. A bit was bending and squishy but not all of it we could of keeped the bone but we dident. The best part was it worked. The worst part was the flies the rotten chicken. So we failed but we will get better chicken bones and normal vinigar and ace this experament.

Animal play

On Wendsday Augaust 9 2017 there was a play put on. We were told that this play was more aimed at the young kids and we just had to listen and be respectful. When the play started it was like an odernery play wacky. About a mouse that wanted to be noticed. the best part was the  part were the mouse got sat on. and my least faverout part was the end because they had a song and no one was singing

Project timing

For projects we had to time how long it takes us to say are scripts.
We did it and we did it pretty fast are video will be about one minute and a half long or way less
The best part of timing the script was saying it the worst part the timing cause you can fail alot.

New trustlicences

On the first day of term 3 the trust licence system changed. Now you either have one or not. There are people with trust licences and supported that are people without them but if you are nethier you are in no man's/woman's land. I am in no mans land. I likje this new sytem but is really just the same. If you  have a trust licence you are basicly  a full. If you are supported your are a learner. And if you are in no mans land you are a restrected.

Cultural studies

In cultural studies we did mandarin.  We listened to a Chinese song and sung it.  We also did a poster  on china. We had to put down the country shape and some big city's. The population, numbers and the flag. I finished mine on the day we did it. The best part was the poster. My least favourite part was the song i guess because I can't remember anything else that happened.

P.E

5 days ago we had P.E for Specialists. When we got  to the gym (where P.E was) there was no teacher. So we chose two leaders and they chose some fitness and  P.E stuff for us to do. We did games and the 7min  fitness challenge. The best part of  P.E was the games and the worst part/hardest was the Fitness part because it was not games.

Easttle

Days ago we did easttle and it was hard. I thought that it was going to be pretty easy it wasent it was really hard and pretty exciting but not in a good way. So yeah easttle is hard don't expect it to be easy

Little bits

Today for immersion we did little bits which are like sicentific lego brick but they are fun. We have to create a life hack made out of little bits it was hard. we have not created something yet but we will soon

Maths stuff

Term 1 maths was hard and stressful. Well only somen of it the other half was really fun or easy. This term i am doing diffrent maths and it is pretty easy and we also did easttle. And my maths level got back for the test i am on the start of level four

Fair trade Project

In term 1 we did projects. My group did a project on fair trade we did some research on fair trade and child slaves. We made a comic showing a life of a slave the slaves name was Aluna Africana. And we were going to present it but i wqas sick on that day.

Persuasive Writing

In term 1 we did peruasive writing.  My subject was why children should be able to ground parents. It was not my best work i now i could of done better. but I made some pretty good points i think. We are doing another peace of writing and i did better on this one.

Puberty talk

On friday we had a puberty talk and it was wierd, But it was helpful of what happens and what has already happened
What i learned:

What's gonna happen and about body parts
And some other stuff i forgot




In conclusion it was wierd but helpful.

Peanut burning

In Immersion we did a Experament where we had 5 peanuts of different sizes and we burned them and timed how long it took for the flame to go out

My  Hypohasis was that the big one would burn faster

This was the information i got the big one burned the slowest the middle one burned the quickist

In conclusion my Hypohasis was wrong the biggest one burnt the slowest.

Coral Snake

In immersion we did a experiment where we had a paper snake that we put atop of a flame and it would turn

My hypopsis my hypohasis was that the snake would turn over a flame

We did the experament we gathered up the infomation and this was the conclusion

In conclusion the snake did turn, but only once so yeah.

Sicence stain experament

On Thursday we did an Experament to see what every day item's could wash away a stain  first we had are material's

The stain= Tomato sause
Stain remover's
Water
Lemon
Juice (orange)
And coffee because you never know

My Hypothasis was that the water will work the best
 So we then did the experament got are data and put it into a table the we put it into a bar graph so these were are result's
Water worked the best
then lemon came second
Juice kinda worked
and Coffee made it worse


In  conclusion if you have these four item's and a sause stain youse water not coffee and my hypothasis was correct water did work the best and that was my experament for Immersion

Reflection on workshop

On Tuesday I had a workshop with felicity that I made Instructions on how to tie a shoelace. And I tie my shoe's the strange way


Material's you will need

Two Hands
A shoe
Shoe lace's


Step 1:  Get the shoe and grab both laces  and cross them over

Step 2: There should now be a gap at the bottom put the left lace throught the gap and pull

Step 3: Now grab both laces and make them into loop's from the bottom and cross them over

Step 4: now again there will be a gap at the bottom put the left lace throught the gap and pull

Step 5: and now you have a tied shoe lace

Reflection on my Project

My Project Group did it on fair trade chocolate (slave story's)  In the form of a comic/Animation.
We did a comic about a slave called Alun Africana who lived in Africa the hardest parts were finding a kid but then we just made up one the easiest part was researching.

Energy stuff

We are going to do a new immersion on energy.
